Your files stay on your device.

The photo, contacts and video cleaners work inside your web browser. The photos, videos and contact files you choose are read on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. We never see their contents, names or file names.

• Account details. If you create a free account we store your first name, email address and a protected form of your password.
• Clean-up history. If you are signed in, we save summary numbers from a clean-up, such as how many items were checked and flagged and roughly how much space could be reclaimed, with the date. We do not save photos, videos, contact details or file names.
• Messages you send us. If you use the contact form we store your name, email address and message so that we can read and answer it.
• Technical information. Like most websites, the service that hosts this site may record technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and reliability.

We use account details to sign you in and show your history, and messages to respond to you. We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your account details for marketing unless you tell us you would like that.

When you sign in, your browser keeps a sign-in session in its local storage so that you stay signed in. It is removed when you log out.

This site uses Google AdSense, so advertising may be shown on its pages, depending on whether Google has approved the site and which ads are available. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s previous visits to this website and other websites. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies and similar technologies to show ads and to measure them. This can include ads based on your visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting google.com/settings/ads (Google ad settings), or opt out of many third-party advertising cookies through aboutads.info. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, although parts of any website may behave differently if you do.

To learn how Google handles data from sites that use its advertising services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google requires that you are asked for consent before advertising cookies or similar technologies are used to personalise ads. We use the consent message provided by Google AdSense for this, and we only rely on the choice you make there. You can change that choice at any time using the privacy settings control that message provides, if shown, or by clearing this site’s cookies in your browser.

We share information only with the services needed to run the site, such as hosting and advertising, and where the law requires it. Your photos, videos and contacts are never among that information because we do not receive them.

Account details and history are kept while your account exists. Messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and keep a record of the conversation. You can ask us to delete your account, history or messages at any time.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or object to certain uses. To make a request, use the contact page or email j.c@xo-yolo.org. We will respond within a reasonable time.

For any question about this policy or your information, email j.c@xo-yolo.org or use the contact page. The site is run by Yolo Web.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Please also read our terms of use.
